In april and may 2015, the Hoboes (Félicie and Jean-Luc Brosse) has recorded an album of duets with many american artists. Learn more about this human and musical adventure.
Since 2001, Mary et Jean-Luc Brosse, the two founder members of the Mary-Lou band, invite you to a trip along the US railroads on the trails of Arlo and Woody Guthrie, Bob Dylan, Jimmie Rodgers and all the songwriters who have written about trains, railroads and Hoboes.
The Hoboes have produced the album "Vagabondage" ("gambling") in 2011.
In april and may 2015, after a tour with the Mary-Lou band, the duet Hoboes crossed 10 states with their recording machine to record this duet album with american musicians and friends.

Depuis 2001, Mary et Jean-Luc Brosse, les fondateurs du groupe Mary-Lou, vous proposent de vagabonder en musique le long des voies ferrées des USA aux côtés d'Arlo et Woody Guthrie, Bob Dylan, et de tous les songwriters qui ont écrit sur cet imaginaire des voies ferrées, des trains de marchandises et des Hoboes, ces travailleurs itinérants à la recherche de quelques jours de travail pour nourrir leur famille pendant la Grande Dépression.

Les Hoboes avaient produit l'album "Vagabondage" en 2011.
En avril 2015, après une tournée en Floride avec le groupe Mary-Lou, les Hoboes ont pris la route pour un périple à travers 10 états du sud-est des USA afin d'enregistrer un album de duos avec des musiciens locaux avec lesquels ils ont tissé des liens d'amitié.

Du 9 avril au 21 mai, nous avons traversé Floride, Géorgie, Caroline du Sud, du Nord, Virginie, Tennessee, Arkansas, Alabama, Mississippi, Louisiane et retour en Floride.
Nous avons enregistré avec Gail et Tom Watts en Caroline du Nord, Wayne Henderson, Herb Key et Helen White en Virginie, Panama Red dans le Tennessee, The Bluegrass Bombers dans l'Arkansas, puis, à nouveau en Floride avec Lis et Lon Williamson, Charley Groth, Lee Hunter, Arvid Smith, Robin et Matt Soergel.

In april and may 2015, we have crossed Florida, Georgia, South and North Carolina, Virginia, Tennessee, Arkansas, Alabama, Mississippi, Louisiana and back to Florida.

Gail et Tom Watts are true music lovers. In their lovely house in the woods of North Carolina, they use to host many musicians, and this is how we happened to know each other, and became dear friends.
Traditional musicians themselves, they know everything about appalachian music. They have been invested in radio production (WNCW), concerts organisation for the famous "Cook Shack" in Union Grove, and are volunteers for years at Merlefest, a huge americana festival which takes place in Wilkesboro, NC. They travel everywhere to attend concerts, festivals, and shoot very nice videos of great artists ! We were so lucky to meet them, we could not imagine doing this album without their contribution. They also introduced us to many of their friends most of whom are musicians, and some of them feature also on Southern Sessions !
